The odds are that if you have found yourself here, you are starting to plan your celebration! When it comes our approach,  we and Dr. Seuss prescribe to the same philosophy: Stand out from the crowd! As your partner in designing custom stationery, we bring a creative, personalized touch to your day. From concept to completion, we help you get the look and feel you want for every part of your wedding or event.

Our goal? To make this part of your planning process easy, simple, and above all, uniquely you.

invitation design

Think of your invitation suite as the cover of a magnificent book waiting to be read. Your wedding invitation suite is your platform to make a statement; your way to let your guests know your vibe as a couple. No two love stories are the same, and your invitations should reflect the uniqueness of yours.

The most popular package is a three-piece invitation suite, which includes a main invitation and envelope, RSVP card and envelope, and a details/insert card. But it is all about customization over here, so your suite could include less or more depending on your needs. A typical Save the Date package includes the Save the Date card and envelope.

The typical Tobyrose Designs bride spends between $1000-$1600 on their their wedding stationery.

assembly & mail

You head over to our Contact page, and submit your wedding/event questionnaire, and we will either follow up with any clarifying questions  we have for you, or get to work on crafting a proposal based on your input in the questionnaire.

Time for US to propose to YOU! We will provide you with a customized proposal. Once that is approved, and you have signed the contract and paid the 50% retainer fee, your spot is officially placed on our design calendar. Consider this the part of the process that we are officially "going steady".

You will receive a Lookbook that includes a color palette, design aesthetic, inspiration images, and our overall, general ideas for your invitations with sketches.
The goal: Establish an aesthetic and tone for your suite before final design begins.

Once every element of your suite ready, we will assemble it for you. Some clients choose to mail them themselves, and others like to have us do it. Regardless of the route you take, the time has finally come to do a happy dance, because your invitations are out in the wild!

Once your heart has completely been set aflame by the fully custom suite that lies before you, and every single element has been double-checked, triple-checked, and even turned over and checked again, you sign off and your invitation suite is set off to the printer, and we begin envelope calligraphy.

Once the initial design from your Lookbook is agreed upon, we create your entire invitation suite. You will receive cohesive digital proofs throughout the process to ensure that you love every single element! Two revisions are included in this, and every additional revision round is $50.

DO YOU SHIP OUT OF STATE?

After you approve of the proposal, we collect a 50% prior to any work beginning. The proposal can be updated depending on any changes made with add-ons or number of items, and that will be reflected in the final payment due before items are picked up or delivered to you. All payments are process via Square.

All of our work is printed on canvas, paper or sturdy foam core depending on the project. Much of our former work in our gallery is hand done on wood or acrylic, but we have since transitioned to only printed materials on canvas, paper or foam core. However, our unique calligraphy style is absolutely available for all printed materials. Now our signs are even cleaner and more crisp, and just as fabulous!

We only ship small printed items out of state, like place cards, menus, and table numbers - no large signage that exceeds 20x30. If possible, all signage must be picked up or dropped off locally.

what is the payment structure?

The typical Tobyrose couple spends between $1000 to $2000 on their full wedding invitation suite, from design to assembly. Customizations and add-ons affect the final total of course, but design fees are final.

A great rule of thumb is to have your wedding invitations sent out to your guests 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date. For Save the Dates, we recommend no later than 6 months prior.

Our full design process for a full invitation quite is typically 2 months, printing and assembly included. Rush orders are
possible, but with additional fee.

Heck yes we do! We love to provide this service and take the extra leg work out of the process for my couples! It's like
wrapping up a present before a holiday for us. Of course, if you are interested in doing this on your own, you will receive your invitation elements carefully packaged for you to assemble them, along with a template for help!

We really like to have our portfolio speak for itself. Since all our designs are custom, we do not provide any samples of your
invitations prior to booking with us. Once the proposal is approved and the deposit is made, a Lookbook will be sent your way with the first round of drafts! Nothing will be physically created until we receive your final approval on it.
